Dashen bank opened its 58th branch, Dashen Bisrate Gabriel Area Bank, at Addis Ababa around St. Gabriel Church. The area bank has commenced its full fledged operation on June 28, 2010. It is the 28th Area Bank in Addis Ababa city. 

 Dashen bank opened its 57th branch, Dashen CMC Area Bank, at Addis Ababa around St. Michael Church, FOUR Y Building. The area bank has commenced its full fledged operation on June 19, 2010. It is the 27th Area Bank in Addis Ababa city. 

 Dashen bank opened its 56th branch, Dashen City Council Area Bank, at Addis Ababa around Atkilt Tera, Tafesse Abebe Building (Bete Rufael). The area bank has commenced its operation on February 27, 2010. This area bank is the 26th in the City. 

 Dashen bank opened its 55th branch, Dashen Wuha Limat Area Bank, at Addis Ababa around Wuha Limat, COMET Building. The area bank has commenced its operation on November 16, 2009. It is the 25th Area Bank in Addis Ababa city. 

 Dashen Bank started accepting MasterCard and Maestro cards on POS Terminals. Previously, it has been accepting these cards on ATMs only. Therefore, holders of MasterCard and Maestro cards can now withdraw cash from our Area Banks and Forex Bureaus on POS terminals. Moreover, they can also effect payments at different merchant locations where these logos are appended. Dashen has also been accepting all kinds of Visa cards (i.e. Visa, VisaElectron, and Plus) since May 2006 and has more than 500 POS terminals at different merchant locations. In addition, it also has 40 ATMs located at different sites of the country and another 15 are under installation.
