Dashen Payment Card

Dashen Bank is the first bank in Ethiopia to provide a full-fledged payment card service as a principal plus member of Visa International, the world leader card association. The Bank is engaged in both card issuing and transaction acquiring businesses.

 

Card Issuing

We are currently issuing debit cards that could be used to effect payment at merchant outlets and to withdraw cash from ATM machines installed at different locations in the country.

The only thing required to be a debit cardholder is opening an account in one of our Area Banks. If you already have an account in Dashen Bank, you could access this same account with Dashen Visa Debit Card.

By having Dashen visa debit card a customer would get the freedom of accessing his/her account 24X7. No more dependency on bank closing hours!

 

Transaction Acquiring

As a member of Visa International we accept all kinds of Visa cards provided by any of the over 20,000 Visa member banks around the globe.

On the Dashen Bank network, one can mainly use his/her Visa card in the following three ways

1. To get cash from Automatic Tellers Machine (ATM) installed inside or outside of Area Banks.    ATM Network

2. To get cash from one of the Area Banks using electronic Point of Sale (POS) terminals.

3. To effect payments in one of the merchant locations who are provided with the Dashen Bank POS terminal to process transactions. Card Accepting Merchants
